SEA DRAGON

Today's Weather: The weather lady referred to it as "soggy."

Today's Emotional Barometer: Excited about 4th of July Holiday to the beach. And since we're going to the beach...

Today's Mystical Creature: The Sea Dragon (special thanks to Kat Blue for her colored pencil drawing below)

THE MYTHOLOGY: If Chinese, one might have fins or the horns of a stag, may resemble a sea serpent, and be called Long or Lung. The Japanese version is known as Ryu and is thought to be benevolent with wish granting powers. Leviathan's are thought to have been able to breathe fire and cause tsunamis. Hercules battled a "hydra" which has been described as a swamp dwelling dragon with nine heads.

  1. I don't believe in Sea serpents, but I saw a documentary on TV saying Mermaids are real! No kidding.

  2. I'm not really sure what I believe. I'm a sheltered person with an open imagination, but I'm also a natural pessimist. I don't not believe it, but I'm not sure if I completely believe it, either. But I love the idea of mythological creatures and magic. ♥

I agree about that mermaid documentary - I'd never heard of it but I'd totally love to see it!

  3. I actually learned how to make these little hearts from you. You posted some keyboard commands awhile back - I've forgotten all of them except the heart, which is Alt+3 ♥

And yes! I would love to see this docu! Maybe we can line that up for a date day.
